Dreamwork

The Greeks believed that their gods used dreams to send humans healing suggestions. Carl Jung suggested that our dreams connect us to the collective unconscious where we can draw deep wisdom from archetypical forces. Aboriginal people find that dreams vitalize their waking awareness.

Whether or not you are an avid dreamer, I can help you tap into this expansive universal reservoir and teach you to decipher your own lexicon of dream images. You can learn to carry dream consciousness into your waking life, and your waking life into dreams. With experience, you will find that the barriers between awareness levels begin to dissolve. You may even find glimmerings of future events in your dreams.

We can also work with dream incubation to “birth” a dream. It’s like conceiving the idea for a play that will be performed that night. In the hands of your more expanded slumbering self, that idea sets the stage for deeper insights.

For gaining wider perspectives while strengthening your sense of belonging, we can develop a Dream Helper Ceremony. This is a dream “community” of family and friends who can help you navigate a specific transition process by dreaming for you. It is particularly helpful in providing a sense of continuity if an important person is transitioning out of your life.

Through dreams, you can awaken your inner wisdom.

I have been going through a tough time with a serious illness in the family. Helene, my office suitemate, suggested a Dream Helper Ceremony. I am a private person and quite introverted when it comes to my inner work, but I knew Helene’s work and I trust her, so I said yes. We invited our other suitemates, set a date and we were on our way. Prior to the ceremony I could feel a shift within me. I also felt a much stronger connection the people who were going to be part of the circle.

The actual ceremony was amazing. I felt supported, empowered, and honored. There was a recognition that I believe we all realized: that although the personalities may play out differently, we are all one. We are connected in ways far beyond the conscious mind.

I feel this experience helped give me strength and harmony for the difficulties I am facing. I feel that it was transformative. I am certain I will continue to reap the benefits. I highly recommend the ceremony for anyone who needs support or is in any kind of transitional phase. The collective work is very powerful.
